Man, 70, killed in Butler County pedestrian crash

A 70-year-old man was killed Monday night when he was struck on a Morgan Twp. road.

David Head, of the 5200 block of Alert New London Road in Morgan Twp., was struck in the pedestrian crash that happened about 8:30 p.m. in the 5100 block of Alert New London Road, according to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Butler County Coroner’s Office.

Following an autopsy today, the coroner ruled that Head’s death was an accident and he died of multiple traumatic injuries.

According to the accident report, an SUV driven by a 67-year-old woman was traveling east when the vehicle crested a hill and struck Head, who was lying in the road.

No charges have been, filed and the accident remains under investigation
