State law requires that law enforcement announce the time and location of sobriety checkpoints ahead of time.
The checkpoints, along with extra patrols nearby, are continuing task force’s effort to reduce OVI-related crashes that result in injuries and fatalities.
The Butler County OVI Task Force is funded by the United States Department of Transportation/National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Ohio Department of Public Safety.
