ISP: Tennessee semi driver dies after crashing into weigh station

The driver of semi tractor-trailer died Wednesday morning after crashing into a weigh station near the Ohio-Indiana border, according to Indiana State Police.

The driver killed in the crash that happened shortly before dawn was identified as 63-year-old James Bristol of Jefferson City, Tennessee.

Sgt. Stephen Wheeles said no employees were in the building at the time of the crash.

Troopers believe a medical issue may have led to the crash. Drugs and alcohol are not suspected to be factors.
