An 18-year-old from Middletown whose family has been searching for her after she did not return from a Detroit family reunion was found in another state, the Middletown Division of Police posted Friday night on its Facebook page.

Heavenly Sloan was last seen early Sunday and was found safe on Friday in Volusia County, Florida.

EARLIER REPORT

Shortly after the family members of a missing Middletown woman held a press conference pleading for information about the budding nurse who vanished early Sunday morning, they raced to Georgia hoping for a break.

Heavenly Sloan, an 18-year-old Middletown High School graduate, was last seen Saturday in the Metro Detroit/Monroe County area. She had traveled from Middletown to Michigan for a family reunion. She was to return home, but she never arrived.

Family members held a press conference Thursday in Detroit asking for answers. A friend Sloan was with at an apartment complex said Sloan left at 3 a.m. Sunday. She was not seen again.

Lacrisha Crawford, Sloan’s mother, said today that family is now in Georgia where a private investigator using a license plate reader apparently spotted the teen’s car. When they arrived the vehicle was gone.

The worried mother said she doesn’t know whether her daughter is just out on an adventure or if someone has done something to her. Her phone has not been turned on, she has no credit cards and there has been no word on social media from her.

“If you see something, say something, and to Heavenly, it is very important that she knows that if this is something that she is doing on her own, she needs to call in and let someone know that she is safe and she is just having her time. And if it someone else, just return her safely and unharmed,” Crawford said.

Sloan is scheduled to attend a nursing program at Bowling Green State University in August, according to the family. She works at Cedarview Health Care in Lebanon.

She stands 5 feet 7 inches and weighs 130 pounds. In the photo on the missing poster, she has short black hair and is wearing glasses. She was last seen wearing black sandals and dark ripped jeans.

She was driving a silver 2009 G6 with back tinted windows and Ohio license plate HNK-2019.

There is a $10,000 cash reward, as well as a $1,000 reward available for information relating to Sloan’s disappearance.

If anyone has information, they are urged to contact their local police, or Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040. All calls are anonymous
