UPDATE: Man struck by ricochet during target practice in rural Butler County

A man doing target practice in a rural Butler County area was struck by a bullet on ricochet, and a tourniquet was applied for treatment.

The victim, who is 60 years old according to emergency dispatch traffic, was transported to a local hospital. The victim was struck in the upper thigh.

INITIAL REPORT

Emergency crews and Butler County Sheriff’s deputies are en route to a report of a person with a gunshot wound on Hamilton-Richmond Road in Milford Twp.

The man reportedly suffered a ricochet gunshot wound to the leg at about 2:10 p.m. Dispatchers indicated he was somewhere on the property in the 5500 block of Hamilton-Richmond and a tourniquet has been applied.
