Charges against a Middletown man may be upgraded after a Middletown man died from injuries he sustained in a May 18 crash.

Roy Stidham, 49, died Friday night at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton, where he had been listed in critical condition since the accident, according to his family and hospital officials.

Timothy Villano, 26, who Middletown police said was the at-fault driver, was charged with aggravated vehicular assault, OVI, fleeing the scene, reasonable control and display of license plate after the crash near Verity Parkway and Hughes Street.

Villano is scheduled to appear for his preliminary hearing Tuesday afternoon in Middletown Municipal Court. His bond was set at $30,000. He remains in the city jail.

The charges could be upgraded to aggravated vehicular homicide.

Stidham is the youngest of seven children. He has six sisters: Robin, June, Brenda, Tina, Angie and Mary, according to his family.
