MUM women top Harriers to complete perfect ORCC campaign

The Miami University Middletown women’s basketball team completed a perfect Ohio Regional Campus Conference season Wednesday night with a 65-52 road win over Miami Hamilton.

Hunter Whiteman (18), Meghan Robinson (15) and Kayla Shields (11) led the scoring for the ThunderHawks, who improved to 22-5 overall and 16-0 in the ORCC.

Adrianna Moore and Braelyn Bean added nine points apiece for the winners, with Moore grabbing 21 rebounds. MUM totaled 13 treys, five by Robinson and four by Whiteman.

Jillian Spurlock (19), Alexis Shealey (10) and Stacie Barrow (10) were the leading scorers for MUH (10-15, 7-9).

Miami Hamilton won the men’s game 80-72, improving their record to 20-8, 14-2. The ThunderHawks dropped to 16-10, 13-3. No other details were reported.

MUH will host UC Clermont on Sunday, with the women playing at 1 p.m. and the men at 3 p.m.

MUM will travel to Southern State on Tuesday at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m., respectively.
