West Chester fatal crash victim identified

West Chester Twp. police have identified the person killed in a crash Monday as a 73-year-old woman from Mason.

Fatemeh Zareker was a passenger in a 1999 white Mazda when the driver was making a left turn onto Cox Road from Liberty Way and failed to yield to a silver 2009 Jeep Wrangler traveling eastbound, according to police reports.

The accident occurred at around 3 p.m.

The Mazda driver was a 73-year-old male and the Jeep was driven by a 27-year-old male.

Both drivers and Zareker are all from Mason and were taken to West Chester Hospital, where Zareker was pronounced dead.

Zareker died of multiple traumatic injuries, according to the Butler County Coroner’s Office.
