Demolition work is underway at the new KFC that will be built at 2211 N. Verity Parkway in Middletown on the site of one that closed there early last year.

The new restaurant will allow customers who once patronized the North Verity Parkway KFC a closer location than the one that is five miles away at 3361 Towne Blvd.

Here’s how it looked before the demolition:
