The site where a Confederate monument was located for 90 years is decorated today with Confederate and American flags, as well as a sign urging the large rock and plaque to be returned.

One sign at the corner of Dixie Highway and Hamilton Middletown Road reads: “We want our monument back” and a large banner read: “Honk If All Lives Matter. History. Not Hate.”

Franklin City Council meets tonight for the first time since the Robert E. Lee Confederate monument was removed from the site Wednesday by city employees.
