A pickup truck whose driver was apparently experiencing a medical issue went through the front door of a West Chester home as the home’s owner was walking the dog, officials and the homeowner said.

Crews were dispatched at about 1:15 p.m. today to the area of Barret Road and Spruce Hill Circle on the report of a vehicle through the structure.

The truck went through the door and into a sewing room, where the homeowner had been eating lunch just a little before.

Crews and officials from Butler County Building and Zoning Department are at the scene.

The driver of the truck was transported to a local hospital, and there were no injuries reported in the house, officials said.

Barret Road is closed between West Chester Road and Station Road as crews work on the scene.
