Police investigate after man’s body found in Mason motel room

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office on Monday still was not releasing the name of an out-of-town man who was found dead in a room at the Mason Inn on Mason-Montgomery Road after his brother called police to report him missing.

Deputies found him at about 9 p.m. Thursday and are treating this as a death investigation after the man’s brother said he had been missing for two days.

Sgt. Jim Doddy on Monday said information about the man’s identity still was not available to be released.

The man’s body was taken to the Miami Valley Crime Laboratory for autopsy, according to our news partner WCPO.
