“I walk out of every one of these meetings with what the local community thinks about what’s going on in the community, what’s going on in the state,” said Taylor.
She said these meetings often gives her a better of idea of “what do we need to do going forward to make sure Ohio truly continues to be a great place to live and work and raise our families.”
The topics of conversation weren’t revealed, but Rick Pearce, the President and CEO of The Chamber of Commerce Serving Middletown, Monroe and Trenton, said the invitation to Taylor was “to give our members an opportunity to meet and ask questions on how government regulations are negatively affecting business.”
It's important for business to communicate with our elected officials as often as possible, it allows for a better understanding between business & government," Pearce said. "By having the discussion at AK's new Research Center, it gives us an opportunity to spotlight AK's new facility and that the steel industry is alive and well in Ohio."
