MUST SEE: The inside of Middletown’s historic Studio Theater looks haunting in the light

Middletown officials are accepting a final round of project proposals for the historic Studio Theater, hoping to save the building that has strong emotional ties for many in the area but that is now gutted and a drag on nearby structures.

Our reporter and photographer spent time inside the theater recently to see what it looks like today.

Exposed parts of ceiling, debris and cracked walls are part of the 90-year-old building. One can still recognize the ticket booth and curtain-covered screen, and the rest provides some hauntingly beautiful views.
