More outdoor drinking hours for St. Patrick’s Day in Middletown

From 8 a.m. March 17 to 2 a.m. March 18, revelers will be able enjoy alcoholic beverages outside within the boundaries of the city’s Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area, or DORA.

The special district is usually only in operation from 6 p.m. to midnight Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The city can establish other times through a council motion.

In short, the DORA is located from the riverfront to Clark Street in downtown, according to Downtown Middletown Inc. There are signs posted when you reach the edges of the district. Click here for a map of the district.
