Middletown bike bandit may have struck again

For at least the fourth time recently, a man on a bike allegedly robbed a person in Middletown, according to police.

A Middletown man told police that he parked his car at Skateway, 2514 N. Verity Parkway, Sunday morning, then walked next door to look at cars at Bill Williams Auto.

He said a man on a bike held him at knife point, took his wallet, then fled on his bike.

The man said his wallet contained $70, a driver’s license and a medical card.

Officers were unable to find anyone matching the suspect’s description.

Middletown police are investigating similar crimes committed by a bike-riding thief. Others happened outside of Little Chicago Pub, Marsh Supermarket, and in Smith Park.
