A man reportedly told police, “Man, you’re gonna find my weed on me,” while being searched by an officer for arrest of disorderly conduct.

Calvin Parker, 18, was arrested in the early morning hours of July 29 after police responded to large crowd arguing and fighting at East Park Place, according to a police report.

Parker continued inciting the crowd to fight despite several warnings from police, according to the report.

He had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and red, watery eyes, police said. Parker admitted he was drunk and a check with dispatch confirmed he was under 21 years of age, according to the report.

He was taken to a cruiser and when the officer began searching him, Parker allegedly said, “Man, you’re gonna find my weed on me.”

The search produced a lighter, $1,102.85 in crumpled bills, and a tied plastic bag containing a powdery substance, according to the report.

Police said Parker later said the substance was “like…cocaine.” The bag was sent to a lab for analysis.

Originally, Parker said the money was his mother’s tax return money, but then later made the comment he came to Oxford ” to make some quick cash.”

He was charged with disorderly conduct/intoxication and offenses concerning underage persons. He was cited and released to the care of a friend.
