>> Dayton-area grad praised for work on ‘Moonlight,’ Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’
The Ryan Coogler sci-fi action adventure stars Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Oscar nominee Angela Bassett and Oscar winners Forest Whitaker and Lupita Nyong'o.
It is set to be released in theaters nationwide in Feburary.
Beachler, a product of Wright State University's film and production design program, won praise for her work on "Moonlight," "Miles Ahead," "Creed," and "Lemonade," a music video project from singer Beyoncé.
Among other things, a film’s production designers work closely with its director and producer on the film’s visual concept: styles, locations, graphics, props, lighting, camera angles and costumes.

Interviewed by this news organization in February, Beachler said her family has had ties to Dayton since the 1970s.
Her father Mark lives in Kettering, while her mother, Marsha, resides in Centerville. Her sisters are also still in the area.
The Internet went crazy when Marvel released posters about Black Panther.
