About 20 volunteers are needed to work four-hour, weekend shifts in order to allow the museum to open Saturday and Sunday each week. Currently, the museum is open on the third Saturday of each month from 1 to 4 p.m.

“We’ve got an enthusiastic board of directors who are eager to take the museum to the next level,” said Jack Dominic, museum executive director. “But we staff the museum with a small cadre of volunteers. Developing a solid docent program will allow us to bring in more people, develop more programs and expand the museum faster.”
Docents will learn the history of the VOA-Bethany Station, as well as key points of the museum’s Gray History of Wireless Museum radio and Media Heritage Cincinnati Museum of Broadcast History collections. Volunteers are also needed to staff admissions.
The National VOA Museum of Broadcasting, 8070 Tylersville Road, will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 20. Admission is $5 for adults and $1 for children.
