Lakota West High School will have a similar event this Saturday, April 22: Jazz ’n Cakes will be held from 8 a.m.-noon. Tickets are $6, available at the door.
At Lakota East guests can expect to hear a variety of songs, such as an arrangement of “Beauty and the Beast,” “Moonlight Serenade” and “Sing, Sing, Sing,” among others.
Served by Lakota East band members, students and volunteers, the all-you-care-to-eat menu includes pancakes, sausage, juice, milk and coffee. Tickets are $6 at the door.
Cool Jazz n’ Hotcakes is presented by the Lakota East Upbeat Club, the school’s band booster organization. On average, about 1,000 guests attend the fundraiser each year.
Funds raised directly benefit the Lakota East band members. Monies are used for things such as music, equipment and instruments.
Additionally, Cool Jazz n’ Hotcakes will feature shopping opportunities provided by several vendors, including Lularoe, Stitch n Wine, thirty-one and more.
Coffee Beans and Brew and UDF have contributed monetary, food and serving supply donations.
