National Night Out events planned across Miami Valley

Law enforcement agencies from across the area are planning to hold National Night Out events.

Here is a list of events for the Miami Valley:

  • Dayton Police:
  • National Night Out caravan
  • will leave city hall at 4:45 p.m.
  • and will make six stops in the city.
    • 4:50 p.m. - Oregon District - Newcom/Founders Park
    • 5:21 p.m. - 10 Wilmington Place - The Sanctuary
    • 6:00 p.m. - Dayton Veterans Administration - plaza on Kentucky Avenue
    • 6:30 p.m. - Residence Park - West Second Street at Elmhurst Road
    • 7:07 p.m. - Fairview - Fairview Elementary School
    • 7:47 p.m. - Old North Dayton - Stuart-Patterson Park, 400 Block of Leo Street
  • Springfield Police: National Night Out event will run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Snyder Park near the SplashPad and playground area. A Peace March will be a part of the National Night Out event with residents of the south and west regions of the town meeting at the Snyder Park Shelter House near the US 40/Snyder Park Road entrance, wearing red shirts. Residents of the north and east regions of the town will meet in the Kroger parking lot on Bechtle Ave., wearing blue shirts. Residents will begin marching at 4:30 p.m., crossing together at the green bridge in Snyder Park.
  • West Carrollton Police: National Night Out event will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Wilson Park Pool, 1226 South Elm Street.
  • Miami Twp. Police: The 24th National Night Out celebration will be held in the park at Austin Landing, 10050 Innovation Way from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. MORE: Free food, music part of National Night Out today at Austin Landing
  • Kettering Police: A section of Stroop Road between Shroyer Road and Far Hills Avenue will be closed as Kettering's National Night Out takes place at Town and County Shopping Center from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Trotwood Police: National Night Out will be celebrated by Trotwood Police from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Home Depot, 5200 Salem Avenue.
  • Middletown Police: From 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Goldman Park, Middletown police will be celebrating National Night Out. MORE: National Night Out one way for Middletown police, community to connect
  • Riverside Police: From 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Riverside police will have its National Night Out event at Stebbins High School.
  • Centerville Police: The Centerville Police Department will host the National Night Out against crime from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at Stubbs Park amphitheater.
  • Clearcreek Twp. Police: All neighborhoods throughout the community are invited to attend a free event held at the Patricia Allyn Park on Ohio 48 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Miamisburg Police: The free event will be held on First Street next to the Miamisburg Civic Center from 5 to 8 p.m.
  • Fairfield Police: Police Chief Mike Dickey said this is the first time in about 15 years the department has hosted a National Night Out. 6 to 9 p.m., in the Fairfield Police Department parking lot at 5230 Pleasant Ave.
  • Huber Heights Police: Demonstrations, family fun, and special guests are planned for Huber Heights  National Night Out. 6 to 9 p.m., Wayne High School 5400 Chambersburg Rd
