A woman whose 2011 Ford Escort went into Camp Run Creek on Saturday afternoon was flown by medical helicopter to University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

Authorities did not release the woman’s name or condition. The Butler County Sheriff’s Office was investigating.

Morgan Twp. Fire Capt. Mike Fawns said the woman was driving west shortly after 12:30 p.m. near the 5900 block of Cincinnati Brookville Road and went off the south side of the roadway.

She had to be extricated by Morgan Twp. firefighters, who also contained fuel that was leaking from the car’s gas tank after the wreck. They notified the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency about the gas spill.
