Former Hamilton teammates could be on same NFL field in August: Former Hamilton High School teammates Marcus Oliver and Adam Pankey didn't hear their names called during the NFL Draft, but that didn't stop everyone attending their combined party to erupt in cheers Saturday evening. Both have agreed to terms on an undrafted free agent contract.

3. Butler County wine scores big in competition: Hanover Winery in Hanover Twp. captured some prestigious hardware at an international wine competition. The Butler County winery double-gold medal for its 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon in the Finger Lakes International Wine Competition.

5. Kings Island's The Racer turns 45 years old: The Racer — which actually is two roller coasters that run simultaneously — has remained one of King Island's favorite coasters over the decades. It celebrated its 45th anniversary on Saturday, April 29.

6. Explosives fail to bring down Ohio's tallest bridge: A third attempt to demolish the remnants of the state's tallest bridge failed Sunday so crews will use cranes to dismantle the former Jeremiah Morrow Bridge in Warren County.
