Fairfield community blood drive set for next week

The city of Fairfield and Parks and Recreation Department is sponsoring the upcoming community blood drive at the Fairfield Community Arts Center, 411 Wessel Drive.

The blood drive is set for 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11, in the Community Art Center’s parking lot.

In order to donate, prospective donors must:

  • be in general good health
  • be at least 17 years old (16 years old with a CBC consent form signed by your parent)
  • must weigh at least 110 pounds
  • have a photo ID (it's helpful to also have your CBC Donor ID card)

Before donating, prospective donors should get a good night’s sleep, eat a nourishing meal and drink plenty of fluids.

The Community Blood Center, city of Fairfield, Fairfield Fire Department and Parks and Recreation Department have joined to periodically host community blood drives. The next blood drive is from 4 to 7 p.m. March 21 at the Fairfield Fire Department, 375 Nilles Road.
