However, Westendorf said there was a significant opportunity for its use by the Warren County Career Center to help train firefighters and emergency medical technicians in the care, treatment and transportation of patients. He said while classroom simulation is good, the reality of space limitations, movement and other obstacles that are found while working in the back of an ambulance is much better.
Westendorf said selling the squad, which is no longer useful to the city, to WCCC will have a long-term benefit students, patients and the overall community.
