On Tuesday, the Warren County Board of Commissioners approved plans for development of the Middletown Cardiovascular Associates building by Dr. Sandeep Gupta.

“His group is anxious to move forward with the project,” said Dave Reed, the lawyer representing the developer.

Middletown Cardiovascular Associates is to be built just east of the entrance to the Renaissance housing development.

The project was held up last year, after the owners of the two properties within the planned unit development were unable to reach an agreement.

The development is across Ohio 122 from the hospital, along a corridor east of Interstate 75 experiencing growth along this road. Just west is Union Road, also undergoing developed headed north toward Franklin, including an AK Steel research facility and south toward development, including the Miami Valley Gaming racino, along Ohio 63.

The plans were approved after Dr. Syad Najeed, owner of the undeveloped parcel just west of the development, accepted conditions requiring him to help pay for the road and entrance needed for the development.

“Everyone seems to be on the same page,” said Bruce McGary, an assistant county prosecutor advising the commissioners.
