School officials are concerned about students walking to school and waiting for school buses in the extreme cold.
Tony Orr, superintendent of the 10,000-student Hamilton Schools, sent the notice out to parents and on social media, noting the reason was the “extreme wind chill.”
Middletown school officials cited the same reason, as did Talawanda officials.
