Monroe police and the Warren County Coroner’s Office are continuing to investigate the death of a 21-year-old man from a gunshot wound Sunday in the parking lot of Cincinnati Premium Outlets.

Monroe police officer Josh King said the investigation will likely be completed Wednesday. The results of the autopsy of the man will not be released until the police investigation is complete, Warren County Coroner’s Investigator Doyle Burke told this news outlet.

But a 911 call made to dispatchers at about 6:25 p.m. indicates the gunshot may have been self-inflicted.

A 911 caller told Monroe dispatchers the man shot himself near the outlet mall’s Michael Kors store.

“A man just shot himself in the chest at the (expletive) premium outlets by Michael Kors,” the caller said.

The caller said the man was lying on the ground and was going in and out of consciousness.
