Hooters, a restaurant chain known for its chicken wings and provocatively dressed waitresses, is headed to Deerfield Twp. and will occupy the former site of a Lone Star Steakhouse.

Mark Whittle, chief development officer at Hooters of America, said the location at 9890 Escort Drive will be remodeled and is scheduled to open in October 2018.

“It will incorporate the latest design features that deliver the familiar, fun-loving loving persona of the Hooters brand along with newly contemporized elements that combine to deliver a one-of-a-kind guest experience,” Whittle said.

This will be Hooters’ first location in Warren County.

“From a centrally located bar featuring 32 draft beers and a wide array of cocktails and craft beers, to comfortable seating options, localized murals and table tops, and a top-of-the-line (audio-visual) package perfect for watching all the games, the new location will have it all,” Whittle said.

Hooters’ menu options include traditional and boneless chicken wings, plus entrée salads, hand-formed burgers, seafood dishes and fried pickles.

Founded in 1983 in Clearwater, Fla., Hooters has more than 400 locations and franchises worldwide, including one that’s been open on Ohio 4 in Springdale since 1994, plus a location in Dayton.

The restaurant chain recently began the process to obtain a liquor license with the Ohio Department’s of Commerce’s Division of Liquor Control for the new location.
