Driver arrested during Ross Twp. OVI checkpoint

A driver snared by the Butler County OVI Task Force during a Ross Twp. checkpoint Friday night was also charged with child endangering.

Friday night 985 cars passed through the checkpoint on Ohio 128 and 11 vehicles were diverted for additional investigation. One driver was arrested for OVI and two counts of child endangering.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol and the local task force conducted an OVI checkpoint Friday night from 8 to 11 p.m.

Another Butler County checkpoint was staged in West Chester Twp. on westbound Tylersville Road at Crosley Way near Pepper Pike last night but data is not yet available.

The highway patrol issued this warning:

“If you plan to consume alcohol, designate a driver or make other arrangements before you drink. Don’t let another life be lost for the senseless and selfish act of getting behind the wheel impaired.”
