Because of the teen’s age and the level of charges, the case is a mandatory bind over to adult court if probable cause is found, Butler County Juvenile Court Judge Ronald Craft said Friday during a brief hearing.
Craft set the probable cause hearing for March 9 and ordered the teen remain in the Butler County Juvenile Detention Center.

On Jan. 20, the 17-year-old victim was shot while in the driver’s side of a car in the parking lot. The shot teen accelerated his vehicle and struck other vehicles and a shopping cart corral, according to police. The 17-year-old was treated and released from West Chester Hospital.
The vehicle used to drop off the accused teen and pick him up from Walmart was a red 2007 Toyota Camry stolen earlier that week from Cincinnati. The vehicle was recovered.
