A Cincinnati woman remains in the Middletown City Jail after she was charged with two felonies following an alleged burglary attempt Wednesday night in Middletown.

Bridia Dominque Thompson,25, of Cincinnati, was charged with aggravated burglary and felonious assault, both first-degree felonies, according to Middletown police. They said additional charges are pending, and are looking for a second woman who was with Thompson that night.

Thompson’s bond was set at $200,000 and her preliminary hearing was continued until Sept. 15, according to Middletown court records.

At about 7 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 600 block of Wilson Street after a report of numerous shots fired, said Middletown police Lt. Jimmy Cunningham. There was four casings on the front porch and blood on the front step and door, according to the police report.

Kristina King, 34, was found suffering from lacerations to her face that caused “severe damage,” Cunningham said. King told police that she was cut with a razor blade. Police found a blade on the floor just inside the front door, according to the police report.

She was transported to Atrium Medical Center.

King told officers that two women she did not know attempted to force entry into her residence. As she attempted to hold the door shut, one of the women slashed her face, police said. King said she fled to the back of her house with an armed woman following.

Once inside, the suspect, holding the weapon, began walking toward King’s 10-year-old child. King told police she retrieved her gun and fired at the woman. Police found a pink camo handgun with a clip and one round in the clip and no rounds in the chamber inside the residence, according to the report.

The suspect fled the residence and area, possibly in a newer dark colored Cadillac STS-type vehicle with tinted windows. Later Wednesday, Thompson was located at University of Cincinnati Hospital with a gun shot wound, police said.

Cunningham said the women may be connected because of ex-boyfriends.

Anyone with information about the vehicle or the other female involved is asked to call Detective Tom McIntosh at 513-425-7785.
