Hamilton police were called to the area about 1:45 p.m. by railroad workers who spotted what appeared to be a male near the tracks, according to Hamilton police Sgt. Richard Burkhardt.
When the body was found in the area of 1234 N. Third St. behind the Hamilton Power Plant, it was determined the scene was in Fairfield Twp. Fairfield Twp. Police Sgt. Jamie Mays said the death does not appear to be suspicious. He said there was evidence of a homeless camp at the scene.
An autopsy is being performed today by the Butler County Coroner’s Office.
