2. Comments to police lead to charges: Laura Stevens, of Middletown, is charged with making false alarms, a felony, obstructing justice, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and falsification.

3. Teen picked up while walking along road: Stevens told Trenton police she found Norvell walking along the side of the road on Jan. 14. After she took the teen to get ice cream, she drove her to Middletown. Stevens' teenage son is Norvell's boyfriend and Norvell was found living with Stevens' sister and brother-in-law in Middletown.

4. Boyfriend's mom lied to police "several times": Trenton police said Stevens lied to them several times when she was asked if she knew of Norvell's whereabouts. The teen was charged with unruly behavior and is in the custody of Butler County Children Services.

5. Police visited teen's home often: Norvell was living in Trenton with her aunt and guardian, Nina Norvell Berry. Trenton police have been called to that home 38 times. Loretta Norvell's biological parents are not in her life, police said.
