4 bar shootings in Butler County

Cincinnati police are still searching for suspects in the deadly weekend shooting that left a total of 17 people injured, including one person who was killed.

Butler County isn’t immune to bar shootings. Here are some recent shootings in Butler County bars:

513 LOUNGE

Incident: Two people died and several others were injured in two shooting incidents and a fatal car crash that occurred within minutes of each other on Jan. 1.

Aftermath: Teresa Shields, 26, of Middletown, was one of two people killed during the early morning hours of New Year's Day after incidents outside the 513 Lounge, 613 N. Verity Parkway, and a shooting at Roosevelt Boulevard and Wicoff Street.

The other fatally wounded victim was Mariana-Marie Richlen, of West Chester Twp., who was a passenger in a car that fled from the bar’s parking lot when shots were fired Before officers could stop the vehicle, it had crashed into a wall behind achurch.

The 513 Lounge remains open.

DOUBLES BAR

Incident: Eight people were shot, including one person killed, on July 24, 2016, at Doubles Bar, 1555 Main St., in Hamilton.

Aftermath: Days after the shooting, two men were killed in a drive-by shooting along Central Avenue, which according to the indictment was a murder-for-hire in retaliation for the Doubles Bar shooting.

Doubles Bar has since been razed.

WISE GUYS

Incident: A fight began inside Wise Guys Bar and Grill, 6121 Dixie Highway, in March 2015. That fight spilled outside, where Vincent L. Brown Jr., 55, of Wyoming, was fatally shot.

Aftermath: The bar has been razed, and Volkswagen of Fairfield plans to expand where the businesses once stood.

CASA TEQUILA

Incident: Evelvin Osveli Morales, 20, and Marlon Enamorado-Gomez, 21, on were found shot to death on July 13, 2008, in the parking lot near Casa Tequila on Dixie Highway in Fairfield

Aftermath: Hector Alvarenga Retana was found guilty on two aggravated murder charges for the deaths. He is serving a life sentence in the Ross Correctional Institution in Chillicothe.

Casa Tequila has since closed.
