Changes coming to Butler County Smokey Bones restaurant

A Butler County restaurant is set to undergo a major renovation.

Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill, 9484 Civic Centre Blvd., will get new bar finishes, a fire pit, new exterior signage and renovated bathrooms , according to paperwork filed by Robert Stamm, vice president of development for the Aventura, Fla.

The full-service bar and fire-grill restaurant opened in July 2006 at The Streets of West Chester. There are 67 locations across 16 states in the Eastern and Midwestern United States.

Smokey Bones’ menu features a range of American cuisine including baby-back and St. Louis-style ribs and hand-pulled pork.

Founded in 1999, the chain is owned by an affiliate of Boca Raton, Fla.-based Sun Capital Partners, whose portfolio of restaurants also includes Boston Market, Friendly’s, Johnny Rockets, Bar Louie, and other restaurant brands representing approximately 2,000 locations.
