Butler County sheriff wants to know who’s employing illegal immigrants

Butler County businesses be warned — the sheriff’s office will be investigating businesses suspected of hiring illegal immigrants.

Butler County Sheriff Richard Jones said today he is encouraging people to report employers who hire illegal immigrants and he is assigning a detective to follow up on tips pertaining to businesses who hire these people.

Jones said he fully agrees with the stance Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has taken on immigration, saying in a press release he is grateful Trump “has the courage to stand up for the American people.”

“I am just tired frankly, this is not rocket science. It’s simple, and it is about protecting the people of this great country,” Jones said in a press release.

“Close the borders, arrest and deport those who are here illegally. Arrest business owners who are allowing illegal aliens to take jobs from the American people,” Jones said. “We have a homeless epidemic in this country that we should be working to fix, and instead we are letting people take jobs from them with open arms. I am going to continue to take a strong stance on this issue, someone eventually has to listen.”
