The report said he remained in the pool face-down for about 10 to 15 seconds without moving when he was removed from the pool and placed in the position outside of the pool, where the responding officer found him.
Police said Custer was conscious when he was found but not moving. He told the officer, “I can’t feel anything.”
Police said there were 300 to 400 people at the party and alcohol was being consumed. The makeshift pool was constructed with straw bales and a blue plastic tarp and appeared to be about two feet deep.
According to the report, police talked to a resident of that house and was told to shut down the party and assist in getting people to leave the backyard, which took about 10 minutes. As party goers left, police arrested one wooman for underagemade one arrest for underage alcohol possession.
Oxford Life Squad transported Custer to the Miami University Airport, where he was transferred to a medical helicopter to UC Medical Center.
