Seminar focuses on E-Verify system

A free seminar meant to help employers comply with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security's "E-Verify" system will be held at Walnut Grove Country Club on Sept. 25.
Hosted by Horizon Payroll Services, the seminar will focus on the government's system of online worker verification that employers and contractors use to confirm that employees are eligible for employment in the United States.
Scheduled to speak is Sonja Barnes, chief of customer relationship and learning management, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.

The seminar will be at 5050 Linden Ave., Dayton. The event begins with registration at 8 a.m., with the presentation starting at 9 a.m. and ending at 11 a.m.
