Local hiring events this week include Kraft Heinz, Xerox

Area companies are set to increase their staffing following several hiring events in Fairfield this week.

Kraft Heinz is looking to hire 25 full-time employees for its 280,000-square-foot Mason facility, which produces portion controlled sauces and condiments.

The company has 325 employees and has posted the roles and sought application through traditional job boards, but is no longer seeing the candidate flow it once saw, according to Kelly Barrett, human resources manager for the facility.

“We are looking for dependable, hardworking individuals who are seeking a long term career,” Barrett said. “We ideally seek those that are able to follow work instructions, maintain a strong attention to detail in a rapid pace work environment. A positive attitude, willingness to be a part of team, and a desire to accomplish work goals is a must.”

A hiring event is scheduled for 10 a.m to 1 p.m. Wednesdayat OhioMeansJobs-Butler County, 4631 Dixie Highway, Fairfield.

Also hiring this week will be SwimOutlet.com, which is hiring full-time, part time and seasonal warehouse associates at $10 an hour for its facility at 4300 Port Union Road in West Chester Twp.

Its hiring event is scheduled for 9 a.m to noon Wednesdayat OhioMeansJobs. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a “hustle” mentality, great attitude, attention to detail and basic typing and computer skills, according to the company.

BCforward has employment opportunities at Xerox in Middletown for first and second shifts with a 1-year contract and the possibility for extension. Overtime also is available.

Positions include warehouse and production workers with pay ranging up to $12.65 an hour. Certification is available on site for forklift positions.

Interested applicants may attend a hiring event from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at OhioMeansJobs-Butler.

In some “on-the-horizon” hiring news, OhioMeansJobs plans to partner with Liberty Center for a job fair from 4 to 7 p.m. May 3 at Sabin Hall in Liberty Center. Among the businesses looking to hire employees are Pies & Pints, AC Hotel by Marriott, Gap, Forever 21, Rookwood Pottery Company Store, Soma Intimates and Ashcroft & Oak jewelers.
