A family doughnut bakery more than a half-century old is cooking up a new location here.

Holtman's Donuts is leasing a 2,747-square-foot storefront in the Streets of West Chester, according to Josh Rothstein of Blue Ash-based OnSite Retail Group, which is handling marketing and leasing for the project.

The business is expected to open next spring next door to recently announced tenants Matt the Miller's Tavern, Chuy's Tex Mex and Duluth Trading Co.

The new development follows Topgolf opening in July and Main Event Entertainment opening in May.

Established in 1960 by Charles Holtman, Holtman's Donuts is now operated by his daughter and son-in-law, Toni and Chuck Plazarin. Locations include Loveland, Williamsburg and Over-the-Rhine, where donuts and other items are made fresh and from scratch on a daily basis, according to the business.

BuzzFeed recently named Holtman's the best donut shop in Ohio, and television personality and food show presenter Alton Brown placed the business in his list of "Favorite Doughnuts in the U.S."
