Get a sneak peek Saturday of Hamilton’s newest boutique

The varied selection at a new Hamilton boutique is aimed at appealing to customers across multiple generations.

The new HIP Boutique at 112 Main St. will open Saturday, March 25, with a sneak preview event, according to owners Paula Hollstegge and Becky Cottle-Payne, both of Liberty Twp.

Located next to IVY Salon & Gallery, the new shop offers "something for everyone," Hollstegge said.

“We have stylish clothing for all ages at different price points,” she said. “We also offer accessories and home decor, even a few antiques. Our goal is to keep it interesting and fun for our clients.”

Hollstegge said HIP Boutique is a long time in the making.

“Becky and I have talked about doing this for 10 years, (but) life always seemed to get in the way,” she said. “Our kids are grown now and finding their way. We finally felt like it was time.”

Cottle-Payne said she and Hollstegge chose to locate the business on Main Street because they like what’s going on as businesses rapidly open along the revitalized stretch of roadway.

They also said they appreciate the city of Hamilton continuing to invest in helping those businesses establish a presence in the area.

“It’s great to see Hamilton come alive again and we’re thrilled to be part of the transformation,” Cottle-Payne said.

Both women said they have strong backgrounds in retail and design.

“And what girl doesn’t love to shop, so we felt this is a perfect fit for us,” Hollstegge said.

The store plans to hold its sneak preview event from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday. Regular operations will start Tuesday.

The boutique will be open Tuesdays through Saturdays. Hours are still being determined.
