Gracie's, a new local restaurant at 1131 Central Ave. in downtown Middletown's new Torchlight Pass building, is looking to hire employees ahead of its planned February opening.

The business needs kitchen staff, servers and hostesses, preferably with at least two years of experience, according to the owner.

Owner Ami Vitori said the restaurant will be an “big-city, comfort food-type restaurant” and is named after her grandmother.

It will serve familiar favorites in unique ways, including shrimp and grits with pork belly, and a braised short rib mac-and-cheese.

The restaurant is part of a $250,000 renovation effort launched at the building in May, one that already has seen the opening of Haven Yoga Studio, ID Training Academy and MC Hair Salon.
