Owner Ami Vitori said the restaurant will be an “big-city, comfort food-type restaurant” and is named after her grandmother.
It will serve familiar favorites in unique ways, including shrimp and grits with pork belly, and a braised short rib mac-and-cheese.
The restaurant is part of a $250,000 renovation effort launched at the building in May, one that already has seen the opening of Haven Yoga Studio, ID Training Academy and MC Hair Salon.
