In addition to those two new business, the development also will include space for another one or two tenants, depending on demand, according to Jennifer Ekey, Middletown’s economic development director.
Construction on the outparcel should start in the next few weeks, with the project creating new jobs and adding to SA Mary Ohio’s continued revitalization of the once-dormant mall, she said.
That effort has included the opening of Burlington Coat Factory last March, discount fashion retailer Gabe's last October and Planet Fitness in January.
“The mall is in a period of revitalization with the addition of Gabe’s and Burlington and Planet Fitness,” she said. “This (new development) is a very, very nice complement and addition to the offerings out there.”
This news outlet first reported Buffalo Wild Wings and Aspen Dental were being considered for the mall as early as February 2015. The particulars of the project were not finalized until this month.
Headquartered in Minnesota, Buffalo Wild Wings was founded in 1982 in Columbus on the campus of The Ohio State University, according to the company.
Fast-growing independent dental care provider Aspen Dental includes more than 500 practices across 33 states, with a range of dental and denture services, according to the company’s website.
